Internship Summary:

The Supply Chain Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain operations, including warehouse management, ocean freight exports, and vendor performance tracking. This role provides exposure to the logistics function at Kuraray America, Inc., with active involvement in bidding processes, contract evaluations, and network optimization initiatives. The intern will also support the U.S. Product Management team by monitoring inventory across multiple warehouses and developing automated reporting tools using Power BI. Through research and analysis, the intern will identify business challenges and contribute practical solutions, building a strong foundation in logistics and supply chain strategy.

Housing will not be provided for the internship

Responsibilities:

• Gain foundational knowledge of the logistics industry and its business operations
• Actively participate in warehouse management, ocean freight export processes, and vendor KPI tracking
• Learn the roles and responsibilities of the logistics procurement function at Kuraray America, Inc.
  • Engage in hands-on activities including bidding processes, bid evaluations, contract awards, and review of legal terms and conditions
  • Contribute to logistics network optimization initiatives
• Support the U.S. Product Management team with tasks and projects to ensure product inventory is accurate and available for market distribution
  • Focus on monitoring inventory levels across multiple warehouses and developing automated triggers using Power BI for real-time data reporting
• Identify business challenges and propose solutions through research and analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Pursuing a B.S., B.A, or graduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or relevant degree
• Completed at least two years of college education before beginning internship
• Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership skills
• Above average computer skills (Excel, MS SharePoint, Power BI)
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
• Strong attention to detail, especially in recordkeeping, data entry, and compliance-related activities
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.
• Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
