JELD-WEN is currently seeking an Plant Quality Manager - Doors to join our growing team.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager, Door Manufacturing, to join our team. As the QC Manager, you will play a crucial role in building our internal plant QC program associated with our portfolio of door products. This position is responsible for building our strategic quality system, investigating, analyzing and correcting problems across our door locations as well as perform audits and implementing new strategies. You will be data-driven, process-focused, and passionate about driving continuous product improvement, conducting supplier research and competitive intelligence analysis, and working with diverse teams within a manufacturing organization to deliver exceptional products that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage door manufacturing quality management system
• Develop and manage plant level quality metrics to drive improvements
• Reviewing our manufacturing specifications to identify critical to quality specifications needed for production
• Performing regular quality control audits to ensure sites continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards
• Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality
• Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues
• Maintaining detailed reports on site quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws
• Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates
• Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and the sites to identify quality issues and come up with solutions
• Collaborate with diverse teams within a manufacturing organization, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure the successful delivery of products
• Travel up to 40% may be required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in material science, engineering, or a related experience
• 5+ years of experience in product or supplier quality, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in manufacturing and in securing supplier process agreements
• Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills
• Strong understanding of product development and commercialization processes, including experience with stage-gate or similar methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
• Bilingual in Spanish is a must have
• Expertise in problem-solving with a strong background in data analysis and visualization
• Ability to work with diverse teams within a manufacturing organization and to lead and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results
• Experience in the window and door industry is a strong asset
