As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee key functions within the accounting department and will have broad exposure to various accounting functions. You will prepare and review journal entries, month-end reconciliations, financial statement reviews and analysis, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of experienced accounting professionals and for professional growth and advancement!

THE ROLE:

• Performs a wide variety of general accounting functions including journal entries, month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Works closely with other accounting managers to effectively complete the month-end accounting close process
• Participates in monthly financial reviews – identifying variances, implementing corrective actions and reviewing financial results with key leaders within the company.
• Responsible for revenue recognition under ASC606, including promotional and loyalty account, gift card accounting and revenue recognition.
• Manages payroll and benefits related reconciliations.
• Meets accounting operational standards by implementing productivity, resolving problems, and identifying process improvements.
• Maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions follow policy, GAAP and are properly reflected on the financial statements.
• Assist with the quarterly financial and SOX audits by working with internal and external auditors to fulfill requests.
• Assist with the preparation of supporting schedules for 10-Q and 10-K documents

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field is required
• 6+ years relevant accounting experience required, including sound knowledge of GAAP (public accounting or public company experience preferred)
• Certified professional Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required
• Intermediate Excel experience required
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and succinctly
