JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of a certified school counselor, a counselor internship provides support to students in the instructional process with specific responsibility for providing course curriculum, support, information and recommendations to students and parents. Additionally, they assist in the development of goals and plans for growth, achievement, and well-being. School counseling interns assist school counselors in implementing a comprehensive school counseling program based on district goals and objectives. They assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a school’s counseling program to meet the individual and diverse needs of all students through individual planning, guidance curriculum, and responsive services.
