Primary Job Responsibilities/Job Description:
Detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly payroll processing in Workday, including tax integration of ACH files, overtime and deduction integrations, and payroll balancing. This role involves preparing on-demand checks, reconciling tax reports, submitting payroll taxes to ADP, and handling child support, garnishments. Process outgoing payments via ChromeRiver. The specialist will also coordinate multi-office parking deductions, maintain short-term disability files, process Equal Justice Initiative payments, and distribute paychecks, pay slips, and W-2s. Strong experience with payroll systems, compliance, and multi-tasking across special projects is essential.
Must Haves:
Highschool Degree required
Minimum 3 years general payroll experience, Prior Knowledge of Federal and Multi-State Payroll Taxes
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word. ChromeRiver is a plus
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, timely follow-through and excellent customer service
Ability to stand/lift up to 20 pounds
Preferred:
Bachelor’s (ideally in accounting)
Experience in Workday or ADP, FPC/CPP Certification
