The MEP Cost Manager will support the Cost Director in the preparation of cost plans and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for building projects. The role includes project cost analysis throughout all design and construction stages.
- Report directly to the Cost Director.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver departmental tasks.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for building projects.
- Analyze project specifications from a cost perspective.
- Develop BOQs and cost plans in various formats (Materformat, NRM, Uniformat, etc.).
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive market offers.
- Propose value engineering (VE) scenarios and evaluate alternative methods.
- Prepare cost analyses and project budgets, including reports at all design stages (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, etc.).
- Evaluate tender submissions in terms of cost.
- Coordinate with clients and designers to gather required information and resolve cost-related matters.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction projects, including at least 5 years in cost estimating for private-sector building projects.
- Previous experience in a cost estimating or tendering department is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Strong reporting and communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of the Greek construction market, including contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors
