Electrical Engineer II (Circuit Design & Development)

Location: Central NJ

Salary: ~$120K depending upon experience

Our client is a rapidly growing company specializing in material solutions for electronics assembly. Our client partners with defense contractors, technology companies, and university researchers to develop cutting-edge solutions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our design and development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in circuit design, PCB development, and testing while working on real-world projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, developing your technical expertise and contributing to projects that have direct customer impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and mixed-signal circuits.
• Support PCB design, assembly, and testing for customer and lab applications.
• Perform lab testing, collect data, and analyze results under senior engineer guidance.
• Help troubleshoot circuits and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Write technical documentation, reports, and assist with customer deliverables.
• Stay updated with new engineering tools, techniques, and technologies.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and seek feedback to grow professionally.

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR requirement).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or projects considered).
• Basic understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, and electrical theory.
• Familiarity with test software (Python, Java, or similar) and basic embedded programming (Arduino, MicroPython a plus).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic engineering environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
