Major Areas of Responsibility

Machining equipment maintenance

Daily maintenance checks and condition monitoring

Corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives

Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning plant equipment and auxiliary systems

Perform routine and complex mechanical maintenance tasks, including precision alignments, lubrication, and part replacements

Conduct systematic daily checks of plant support systems, such as air compressors, fire suppression systems, coolant systems, and chillers; record readings and submit reports

Execute a structured preventive maintenance program based on company standard forms and/or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) recommendations and best practices

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, completed repairs, and parts usage

Identify and request necessary spare parts to ensure uninterrupted machine operation

Provide comprehensive shift pass-down reports to ensure seamless communication between shifts

Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades

Participate in root cause analysis for recurring machine failures and implement corrective actions

Standards of Performance

Execute repairs efficiently to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)

Maintain precise and accurate maintenance records

Proactively reduce machine malfunctions through preventative maintenance strategies

Create work orders and plan for scheduled downtime to optimize maintenance efficiency

Ensure sustainable repairs to improve Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR)

Your profile

Education/Credentials/Certifications:

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field

Technical certifications in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, or machining.

Length of Experience:

3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment

Experience with machining equipment or similar precision machining systems preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery

Deep understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical power transmission

Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including working with sensors, motors and robots

Experience in welding, machining, and fabrication for repair purposes

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance

Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings

Proficiency in metric-to-standard conversions and basic applied mathematics

Adaptability to new technologies and willingness to learn advanced maintenance techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and teamwork

Essential Functions

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Physically capable of working in a manufacturing setting, including climbing stairs and working on elevated platforms

Commitment to safety protocols and company policies

Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings

Capability to use precision instruments such as dial indicators, mag-base, and other measurement tools for alignment and troubleshooting
