Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Redwood, Washington 98052
Length: 12+ months contract
Payrate range: $64 - $70/hr.
Schedule: Onsite / (four days worked per week, 10 hours worked per day) Wednesday through Saturday, 6am to 4:30pm.

Summary:
The Project is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a First Line Support - Manufacturing Engineer, you will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying and producing next generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems on a daily basis, at both a systems and specialized level. You will be the first line of support for all manner of technical challenges to the production team, using your expertise to rapidly respond to, triage, and solve product issues which slow down factory throughput. You’ll convert the first line troubleshooting into structural improvement projects to both improve the green-to-green recovery time for when line disturbances occur, as well as eliminate the generation of disturbances entirely through collaboration with other technical functions.
