Purpose of the role:

This role is a financial professional responsible for managing the lifecycle of fixed assets & leases and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting Systems and Processes: Oversee the lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions, retirements, disposals, transfers, and adjustments. Ensure that all changes are accurately reflected in the accounting system in compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Property Valuation and Revaluation: Collaborate on the property valuation and revaluation program to ensure accurate assessments and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Month-End Close Reporting: Ensure timely completion of month-end close processes and reconciliations related to fixed assets and inventory, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness in reporting.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure that all payments related to fixed assets and leases, including rent and rates, are processed promptly and correctly to maintain financial integrity.
  • Controls Compliance: Establish and enforce internal controls and procedures to uphold the integrity and security of operations.
  • Process Automation and Streamlining: Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging technology solutions, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices to optimize processes.
  • Participation in Ad Hoc Assignments: Engage in ad hoc assignments and other projects as assigned by supervisors or management.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on fixed assets, preferably in banking industry
  • Professional qualification on HKICPA, ACCA, CFA and or FRM would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to tasks and time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.
  • Willing to learn, Self-motivated, Self-discipline, Positive mindset.
  • Good communication & team spirit and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills, Project Implementation skills,
  • With the capacity to navigate through challenges and propose creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
