    • THE SPECIALTY CARE SERVICES STAFF NURSE is a professional nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for Patients/families in his/her area.
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Associate degree or diploma at least one year of recent nursing experience required, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in outpatient setting.
    • OR
    • BSN or MSN a minimum of 6 months experience preferred, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in outpatient setting
  • Experience
  • Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
    • Current RN License in the State of Alabama
    • Current BLS Certification

Additional Information

The division of Pulmonary Medicine specializes in the treatment of patients with a variety of lung and sleep disorders. Specialty clinics include: General Pulmonary Medicine, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Technology Dependence/Home Ventilators, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), and Sleep (including Behavioral Sleep Disorders, Snore, and CPAP/BiPAP management). Board Certified Pulmonologists, Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners provide care in this department. Nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, and nutritionists are also a part of the interdisciplinary team.
