As our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll drive transformative process improvements and lead a talented team that's reshaping how satellite components are designed, assembled, and tested. Your leadership will be crucial in managing non-conformances, enhancing work instructions, driving root cause analyses, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles. You will be instrumental in creating and deploying KPIs to measure and improve team performance, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

A day in the life
As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your day will typically begin with reviewing the team's operational performance metrics, identifying potential bottlenecks, and strategizing improvements.
You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers to refine and optimize production processes and with Front-Line Support Engineers to address immediate production issues. Meetings with cross-functional teams, including design engineering and quality assurance, will ensure continuous alignment and integration of manufacturing efforts.
You'll actively engage in developing training and mentoring programs for your team, facilitating growth and building expertise. Throughout the day, your strong leadership and proactive problem-solving will drive the team toward operational excellence and successful outcomes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $234,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
