Sr. Firmware Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Firmware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing firmware to interpret and manipulate data from various sensing technologies used in our flow and BTU meter systems. You will develop new calculation algorithms, improve existing ones, and act as the technical project lead for the development of precision measurement devices.

Responsibilities

  • Generate firmware using 'C' code for various microprocessor platforms.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers in the development of new products, including electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing aspects.
  • Develop test procedures and write software unit tests.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews.
  • Define technical requirements and software architecture, including drivers based on market and top-level system requirements.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C Programming.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and/or SVN.
  • Knowledge of higher-level programming languages, such as Python.
  • Expertise in embedded device programming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical leadership capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Masters is a plus).
  • 5+ years experience with programming in C.
  • 5+ years experience in hands-on development of measurement or scientific instrumentation.
  • 3+ years experience in a formal technical leadership role.
  • 10+ years experience in programming embedded devices.

Work Environment

The work environment requires onsite presence Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We are committed to fostering a sustainable and socially responsible environment. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $131000.00 - $151000.00/yr.
