Contract IT Audit Manager (SOX Compliance)

1. Location: Hybrid – Oklahoma City or Tulsa preferred. REMOTE approved for exceptional candidates
2. Type: Contract (6 months)
3. Compensation: Up to $65/hour (W2) or $75 (1099)

Our client is seeking a contract IT Audit Manager to lead multiple IT SOX compliance testing projects across a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise engagements. This is a client-facing, leadership role where you’ll oversee delivery, manage testers, and provide hands-on advisory support for IT controls and risk management.

What You’ll Do:

1. Manage multiple concurrent IT SOX compliance engagements from kickoff to final reporting
2. Serve as the primary liaison with client stakeholders, leading virtual meetings and status updates
3. Supervise, coach, and review the work of testers—providing technical guidance and quality assurance
4. Advise clients on IT controls design, testing, and remediation strategies
5. Monitor budgets, timelines, and engagement deliverables
6. Collaborate closely with business process audit teams to ensure aligned execution

What You Bring:

1. 6+ years in IT Audit, Internal Audit, or SOX-specific roles
2. Deep knowledge of ITGCs, ITACs, ERP systems, and risk frameworks (COSO, COBIT, etc.)
3. Strong experience managing audit teams and reviewing technical documentation
4. Clear communication skills and client-facing confidence
5. CISA, CIA, or equivalent certifications preferred
