Position: Product Design Engineer

Location: La Porte, TX - onsite 5x a week

Pay: $130,000 - $160,000 / Annual base pay

We are seeking a Product Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in centrifugal compressors or gas/steam turbines. The ideal candidate will play a key role in engineering calculations, reviewing and approving technical drawings, and ensuring all components are correctly assembled for complex rotating equipment solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, supporting internal manufacturing, leading design reviews, and creating detailed documentation for engineered products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with compressors or gas/steam turbines
• Proficiency in mechanical calculations and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (milling, turning, welding)
• Working knowledge of API 687 and at least one of the following standards: API 617, 611, or 612
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and occasionally work flexible hours to support global teams
