The Special Function Coordinator position is responsible for the timely setup, breakdown and presentation of catering events and Physician’s Lounge for all Powers health St Mary Medical Center catered events. This role ensures that all catered events meet high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism while adhering to food safety regulations and hospital policies. This position will assist in other areas of the HNS Department as needed or in the event of low catering days. This position will require some weekends but will typical be scheduled Monday through Friday with shifts varying depending on event times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months experience in catering, food service required.
  • Serv-Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire.
