Job Title: Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Validation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing validation processes and tooling to ensure high-quality component production. This role involves working closely with design, quality, and production teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet product specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate tooling and processes for component manufacturing.
  • Optimize validation procedures to enhance productivity, quality, and minimize waste.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations for new validation projects.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure parts are free from production issues related to validation, including tool wear and process inconsistencies.
  • Monitor and analyze validation parameters to maintain consistent quality.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for validation-related problems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on tooling specifications and maintenance.
  • Prepare technical documentation, process flow charts, and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in validation processes.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in validation engineering or tooling design.
  • Strong understanding of validation processes, equipment operation, and tooling principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., AutoForm) is a plus.
  • Experience with progressive, transfer, and fine blanking tooling.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO/TS.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment setup and trials.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ processes.
  • Knowledge of tool and die.

Work Environment

The work environment is located in the company's newly renovated facility in Tamarac. Time will be spent on the manufacturing floor and working cross-functionally with the engineering team in designated workspaces.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $55.29/hr.
