Meta is looking for a hands-on leader to build and scale the global Developer Ecosystem & Evangelism function of our Llama open-weight AI models and AI ecosystem. This person will shape the future of how developers engage with, build on, and contribute to Llama across startups, enterprises and global communities. You will be responsible for defining and executing our developer engagement strategy, growing adoption through technical enablement and advocacy, and ensuring Llama becomes the foundation for the next generation of AI-powered applications. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring deep technical credibility, strategic acumen, operational rigor, and external leadership. You will lead a global team across developer advocacy, community, product marketing, partnerships and technical support.

Head of Developer Ecosystem & Evangelism - Llama Responsibilities

• Care deeply about the developer experience. Solve their problems.
• Set the global vision and strategy for Llama's developer ecosystem.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of developer advocates, community managers, and program and partner managers.
• Represent Meta and Llama externally - at events, engaging with top developers and partners.
• Ensure Meta's products drive value across developer segments via key platform integrations.
• Define and execute metrics-driven programs to grow monthly active developers and community engagement.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Business Development to shape a roadmap for developer experience and tools.
• Build and own the end-to-end developer journey from onboarding to feedback loops.
• Monitor the AI developer landscape and steer ecosystem strategy accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in developer-facing roles including DevRel, product, or engineering leadership
• Technical foundation in AI/ML or software development
• Experience managing cross-functional teams (technical advocacy, community, marketing)
• Track record of operating to metrics and OKRs
• Strategic thinker with market awareness
• Effective public communicator with developer credibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI infra, open-source communities, or dev tools platforms
• Familiarity with developer adoption in global markets like EMEA, Japan, Korea or India

$328,000/year to $381,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
