ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Persons employed in this position are responsible for, but not limited to, designing manufacturable high quality products to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Antenna Design & Engineering: Lead the structural and component design of automotive antennas, including the development of detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for components and assemblies.
- Customer Communication & Technical Support: Effectively communicate design concepts and technical solutions to customers, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
- RFI/RFQ Management: Respond promptly to customer RFI/RFQ requests. Collaborate with customer and cross-function teams to refine product designs, conduct risk assessments, and implement improvements prior to mass production.
- Product Development Process: Follow established product development procedures, ensuring timely preparation of technical drawings and documentation to meet project milestones.
- Design Optimization & Cost Awareness: Analyze product design and manufacturing processes to identify risks and opportunities for structural optimization and cost reduction.
- Design Verification & Testing: Develop test plans, verify product designs through testing, and analyze results to ensure performance and reliability standards are met.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate and support activities with global design centers to ensure consistency and efficiency across regions.
- Cross-functional Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams including project management, sourcing, and quality to enhance product design, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth transition to mass production.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete all relevant development documentation and maintain accurate project records throughout the product lifecycle.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree Major in Mechanical Engineering or related;
- At least 6 year's of products design or equipment design experience in design center;
- Solid 3D CAD software design experience, UG or CATIA;
- Solid experiments on plastic product design and sealing design;
- Experiments on tolerance analysis, familiar with DFM/DFA;
- Good communication skills;
- Fluent spoken and written English;
