We are hiring for Per Diem Mammography Technologist at our Limerick Outpatient Center.
- Per Diem: Minimum 48 hours in a 6-week schedule; no holiday or on call coverage required.
The Mammography Technologist:
- administers ionizing radiation when performing screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols.
- demonstrates an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to the procedure.
- Maintains a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.
- integrates technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
- utilizes independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain the resultant diagnostic information when possible and seeks direction from a MQSA qualified interpreting physician or lawful institutional policies (or standards of care) to continue or discontinue the exam.
- remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.

- BLS Certification
- ARRT Certification and Board Certified in Mammography
- RT (R) (M) (ARRT)
