The Department of Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for a part-time Faculty Associate position for the academic year 2025-2026, Fall semester. The successful candidate will teach an in-person course, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, nonbenefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business administration, sports business or related field; Experience guest speaking in courses or other public speaking activities; At least 7 years of professional experience within the sports industry or related field.
Essential Duties: The candidate must contribute to the Department of Marketing’s mission in the areas of teaching and must be able and willing to teach a sports business course focused on revenue generation strategies within a sports context to undergraduate students. Specific instructional topics may include ticket sales, sponsorship development, partnership activation, pricing strategy, and revenue-focused fan engagement. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing instructional materials, assessing student performance, and providing guidance to students pursuing careers in sports business revenue roles.
