Located in the heart of the Czech capital, overlooking the Vltava River and just steps from Charles Bridge, The Mozart Prague is a luxury boutique hotel known for its elegant heritage, refined hospitality, and cultural richness. As we prepare for an exciting new chapter with a planned renovation starting in early 2026, we are looking for a skilled Finance Manager to support the hotel during a critical transitional period. This is a 6-month fixed-term assignment from August 2025 to early February 2026, ideal for a finance professional with strong hotel accounting expertise, currently working as Finance Manager or Asst. Finance Manager in an Accor branded hotel.

Job Description

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the hotel in the months leading up to closure. Working closely with the General Manager, and in cooperation with an outsourced accounting company, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all on-site finance operations including daily financial controls, invoice processing, and document management.
  • Ensuring correct and timely balancing of accounts and coordination with the external accounting provider.
  • Monitoring cost control, stock levels, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and controls.
  • Conducting regular P&L analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Supporting the General Manager in driving financial performance, optimizing cost-efficiency, and preparing for the hotel’s temporary closure.
  • Acting as the key finance point of contact on property and providing strategic oversight of the hotel’s financial health.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Asst. Finance Manager within the hospitality industry.
  • Solid knowledge of hotel accounting standards and financial management practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with outsourced accounting processes, financial control procedures, and cost monitoring tools.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and capable of managing priorities in a transitional environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Czech is an advantage.
