Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience creating 2D drawings and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management/Product Data Management (PLM/PDM) software.
  • Experience with electronic, Radio Frequency (RF) or cryogenic materials and properties.
  • Experience working with vacuum/cryogenic systems.
  • Experience in machining, fabrication and additive manufacturing techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in a technical environment.

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will create new advanced hardware and carry it through the design, prototyping, and integration phases of development. You will manage multiple involved projects in various phases of development in parallel, and coordinate with multiple internal and external vendors during manufacturing.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support on Onshape modeling techniques to other team members.
  • Assist team members with development of assembly procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain version controlled assemblies, parts, drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and related documentation for internal and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components.
  • Create manufacturable designs and drawings derived from design requirements using Onshape.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, hardware engineers, and technicians develop design requirements for new components or tools.
