About the Team:

The mission of the Shopee Tech Ops MRE (Machine Reliability Engineering) team is to ensure efficient and sustainable operation of the Shopee network and hardware level 24x7, building and maintaining massive hardware clusters for SRE and capacity, in terms of capacity, cost and hardware performance. The team provides sustainable hardware resources and stable network support services. MRE needs to communicate with the data center team to design and optimize network architecture; provide reasonable hardware configuration through hardware testing and selection according to business requirements; customize stable and efficient OS; optimize traditional operation through engineering and service means; and build a complete hardware monitoring system to improve the efficiency of fault handling.

Job Description:

• Support the project management team in the entire life cycle of technical projects, from gathering requirements to deployment.
• Help analyze project requirements and contribute to developing feasible solutions and delivery strategies.
• Work with technical management to assist in design, migration, and integration tasks.
• Assist in planning IT infrastructure for major marketing events, ensuring all necessary resources are in place.
• Help monitor and manage IT infrastructure capacity, including data centers, servers, and networks.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business operations and product management, to prioritize requirements.
• Help establish project milestones and track progress to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• A basic understanding of project management principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with network deployment, product design, or data center operations is advantageous but not required.
• Proficiency in English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus for collaboration with regional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn.
