G4S Facilities Management is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £37,691.20 - £39,575.76 per annum (with potential for allowances for Authorised Person duties)

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing a range of mechanical engineering services, including:

  • Respond to defects, identify root causes, and undertake statutory and routine inspections of mechanical plant.
  • Conduct all work to high standards, ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to SLA, KPIs, site policies, and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Monitor and utilize PDA devices for service delivery.
  • Identify and requisition materials for maintenance work orders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous service improvement.
  • Oversee and escort contractors, ensuring satisfactory work in line with risk assessments, method statements, and contract KPIs.
  • Support a safe, clean, and healthy working environment.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Adhere to corporate safety and security policies.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and image.

Who we are looking for:

  • Essential:
    • NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering
    • Previous experience in a facilities management environment
    • Microsoft Office proficiency
    • Ability to obtain DV clearance
  • Desirable:
    • Mechanical to Electrical conversion course
    • Refrigeration/Air Conditioning knowledge
    • IPAF / PASMA
    • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineerning
