Description

  • Lead the development of new OLED fabrication technologies to meet the performance requirements of a wide range of display products - Closely collaborate with cross-functional display teams and manage vendor activities - Drive display & component supply manufacturers aggressively on technical innovation to achieve desired OLED panel performance and features - Conduct technical risk assessment, root cause analysis, failure analysis, and design of experiments to understand fundamental OLED and process physic; drive associated solutions and corrective actions - Quickly solve problems during technology development and product implementation stages; transition from proof of concept to high volume mass production

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in display engineering, electrical engineering, physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related fields and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with OLED display manufacturing, OLED evaporation / encapsulation process, OLED device physics, optical & material characterization, or related OLED display process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in display engineering, electrical engineering, physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related fields with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience and proven track record in OLED display; materials, process, manufacturing, simulation, equipment, and methodology
  • Experience with various OLED process is preferred: lithography-based OLED, inkjet printing, vapor jet printing, quantum dot, white OLED, etc.
  • Experience with early-stage technology evaluation and development is a plus
  • Experience with simulation and analysis is a plus: Direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC), structural / thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Ability to model OLED evaporation, encapsulation, color filter process or photolithography is as plus
  • High degree of flexibility — able work autonomously and creatively drive project results independently
  • Able to handle multiple projects, programs and strategic development efforts without direct supervision
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration with diverse teams and cultures

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
