Role Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, improving, and integrating manufacturing systems that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement across operations.
Main responsibilities
- Apply LOTO methodology across all applicable equipment.
- Enforce the company’s internal code of conduct.
- Prepare documentation for the integration of new equipment.
- Apply 5S methodology in work areas and support plant-wide initiatives.
- Establish and oversee preventive maintenance plans ensuring equipment availability.
- Manage quotations and purchase orders for machinery services and spare parts not listed in PLEX.
- Analyze critical spare parts and define system min/max inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain key manufacturing documentation, including Process Instructions, Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Process Maps, Process Routes, Time & Motion Studies, Line Balancing, Layouts, Predictive, Preventive, and Corrective Maintenance Plans, Skills Matrix, Lean Manufacturing Production Lines, SMED.
- Support scrap reduction analysis and actions.
- Collaborate in projects such as MRB, MDI, VAVE, KAIZEN, GEMBA, SIX SIGMA, 8D problem-solving.
- Drive cost-reduction ideas for both product and process.
- Implement and develop Poka-yoke systems.
- Participate in root cause failure analysis.
- Design and develop production tooling.
- Train and develop technical staff, promoting a positive working environment.
- Prepare CAPEX proposals for new equipment or tooling (preferably automated).
- Support NPI activities, including quotes for products, tools, and equipment.
- Assist in product engineering changes.
- Oversee time & attendance for direct reports.
- Manage resources efficiently: Direct personnel, tools and equipment, spare parts and materials.
- Ensures compliance with key manufacturing performance indicators such as downtime, preventive maintenance completion, overtime management, and expense control.
Qualifications
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge of CNC equipment, molding, stamping, automated systems, and PLCs.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven experience managing maintenance processes and executing maintenance routines.
- Familiarity with ISO system implementation and compliance.
- Experience driving safety and ergonomic improvements within production processes.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and electricity.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
