A key part of the buying and merchandising team – you will assist with range planning, price and supplier strategy, stock control and help deliver sales and profit.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for smaller suppliers & departments where relevant
Maximise supplier/ category profit & sales
Range Plan management
Work with suppliers to ensure all relevant information is complete
Product and Purchase Order Management
Manage samples, CADs & images
Invoice queries
Manage size guides
Product queries
Product presentation collation
Work with suppliers & buyers to collate all information
Launch Planners & Calendars
Deliver range presentations
Support launches
Site checks
Supports department by producing accurate and timely historical data and analysis
Responsible for maintaining system and reporting accuracy through regular housekeeping
Produces weekly trade reports, providing performance insight, makes trade recommendations to drive sales and profit
Track’s intake and ensures all critical paths are accurate, keeping team informed of any intake or delivery issues
Manage all aspects of department allocation and replenishment
Manage markdown and promotional pricing activity
Work with suppliers to maintain critical path/delivery schedule
Knowledge & Experience:
Some Buying and Merchandising or retail experience beneficial but not essential
Buying and Merchandising qualifications preferred but not essential
Knowledge of sports product/ industry is preferable
Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships and influence
Analytical & numerical skills essential
Ability to problem solve, suggest better ways of working & contribute to projects
Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Passion, drive & determination
Microsoft package knowledge – including strong Excel experience
