We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tools Engineer to join our team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETK (ETAS Tool Kit) equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Diagnose and provide timely support for HIL PCs and associated software tools, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Manage and track hardware and cable inventory across multiple engineering groups, ensuring availability, organization, and proper condition.
- Administer and oversee ETAS licensing processes across North America, ensuring all licenses are properly distributed, tracked, and compliant.
- Provide ongoing support for Calibration and Diagnostic Application (CDA) licensing, addressing user concerns and coordinating with software vendors as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware/software support, preferably in an engineering or automotive testing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in HIL systems, PCs, and technical equipment.
- Familiarity with ETAS tools and licensing platforms.
- Experience with inventory management tools or systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Calibration and Diagnostic tools (CDA, INCA, or similar).
- Knowledge of automotive testing environments or embedded system testing.
- Familiarity with North American ETAS licensing models and processes.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools for inventory/licensing tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
