WSP is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15 years of experience in overall responsibility of supervision, coordination of construction, inspection, testing and commissioning for project based in Qiddiya, Riyadh.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering on construction sites.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Provide on-site supervision and technical support for mechanical construction activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, hydraulics, and fire systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that mechanical works are executed according to project plans, schedules, and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, such as electrical, civil, and architectural, to ensure integration and coordination of mechanical works with overall project requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and conflicts related to mechanical design and construction activities, and provide timely solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and upcoming activities.
  • Conduct site meetings with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to discuss project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and site staff, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in HVAC, hydraulics, fire systems, codes, standards, and practices.
  • Proven experience in site supervision, construction management, and quality control/assurance for projects such as universities, hotels, residential buildings, and office complexes.
  • Monitor daily mechanical site activities such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems.
  • Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
