Edge Solution Architect, Senior Manager

The Opportunity:

As an Edge Solution Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of proprietary engineering services and intellectual property with commercial technologies. You will define edge solution blueprints, engineering processes and solutions that accelerate the co-development and delivery of enhanced and secured technologies. Additionally, you will serve as the technical bridge between engineering teams, commercial tech partners and executive stakeholders to ensure solutions maximize both technical and business objectives. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design AI-enabled edge solutions that create mission advantages for clients and competitive differentiation
  • Lead the co-development of mission specific agentic applications, software defined platforms and service as software solutions for edge domains – space, autonomous systems and AI native radio access network
  • Serve as the edge technical lead for portfolio companies and commercial tech partners, setting engineering priorities, co-development and implementation strategies
  • Development quantitative frameworks, measure and communicate alternative solution architecture trade-offs to edge engineering, sales and executive stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for intellectual property creation, technology licensing and engineering service monetization, drive integration into edge, cloud and SaaS offerings
  • Advise on edge venture capital investments and go to market model decisions

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with edge engineering, including full-stack edge technology development, silicon or processor engineering, AI model quantization, and AI application integration into commercial edge platforms, such as sat-cube payloads or ISR platforms
  • 4+ years of experience with software defined edge engineering, including software defined communications, payload and sensor workloads, and federated or reinforced AI learning
  • Experience successfully developing and implementing impactful AI-enabled edge solutions in operational production environments, such as space and autonomous sensors
  • Experience evaluating edge investments and research, benchmarking custom edge solutions, such as systems on chips, ASICs, FPGA, and GPUs, against industry standards and communicating results to executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing scaled delivery of custom edge solutions across commercial supply chains and fabrication partnerships
  • Experience working with venture-backed engineering and go-to-market teams
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience working with pre-sales engineering teams, setting financial targets, and executing business to business or business to customer edge SW/HW deliveries
  • 4+ years of experience working in relevant use case domains, such as USG efficiencies, autonomous systems, space constellations, defense, aerospace, or intelligence
  • Experience leading edge business case analyses, technology evaluations, and investments
  • Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
