We are looking for a talented, and highly motivated engineer to be part of the industrialization team. Come join a team of deeply knowledgeable engineers that strive to build the most robust and reliable motion control systems using cutting-edge development tools and practices.

The select engineer will be focused on collaborating in the design, implementation, and verification of our setups and test benches. The position primarily requires expertise in mechatronics, along with a multidisciplinary knowledge in electronics and programming.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and verify the tools and setups for the R&D and V&V teams.
  • Continuous improvement of the sustaining product tools using the information coming from manufacturing reports.
  • Work closely with hardware & firmware team during new product development to clarify the required setups to validate the design and identify possible risks (DFMEA)
  • Create internal documentation for our setups (Workflows, working instructions, tool manuals, consumables list, maintenance process, etc.).

Required Experience, Education and Competences

  • MS o PhD in Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or technical related discipline
  • Minimum experience 1 year
  • Experience with Mechanical design using SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Electronic circuit technology design.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting.
  • Understand schematics and use of lab. instruments is a must.
  • Python knowledge.
  • Experience in testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish / English.
  • Occasionally travel as needed (domestically and internationally) to suppliers and customers for support and/or installation of tools.

Nice to Have Requirements

  • Experience in 3D printing technology, machining and metal bending.
  • Background in electrical power applications.
  • General Motion control knowledge (motors types, feedbacks, controls, etc.).
  • Industrial communication protocols (CANopen, EtherCAT).
  • Expertise with SVN, GIT, Jenkins, JIRA and other software development tools
  • Experience in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability.
  • Previous experience in motion control, robotics, lab, or medical automation markets will be highly appreciated.
