Job Description

A leading technology organization is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to support mission-critical programs for customers, including the U.S. Department of Defense, major defense prime contractors, and large commercial enterprises. This role is essential to the design, development, and testing of advanced hardware systems and components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong back ground in hardware engineering, a detail-oriented mindset, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware components such as PCBs, circuits, and systems based on project specifications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Build and test hardware prototypes to validate design concepts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware designs, test procedures, and results.
  • Partner with documentation teams to produce user manuals and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with Configuration Management to ensure proper release of all designs.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement.
  • Ensure all hardware designs meet industry, military, and safety standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in hardware engineering.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in hardware design, development, and testing.
  • Proficiency in PCB design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SPICE).
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with electrical design, signal processing, and tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with microprocessors, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 9/80 schedule, allowing for every other Friday off. Employees will engage with equipment that is utilized in military installations and have the ability to see through projects from design to manufacturing. The company provides a stable environment with multiple recent awards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
