About Volt
Volt is revolutionising how people pay online, globally. Our technology frees consumers from cards by letting them ‘Pay by Bank’. It’s effortless. It’s lightning fast. It’s the future. For businesses everywhere, it’s transformative.
We’re already trusted by leading brands around the world, but the real-time revolution is only just beginning. Having raised $83.5m, we’re accelerating our mission of delivering real-time payments, everywhere. And that’s where you come in.
We need world-class talent to create a world where consumers pay, and businesses get paid, instantly. With headquarters in London and offices in Kraków and Warsaw – and an all-star team already in place – we’re sure you’ll fit right in.
About the role
We are looking for a technically-oriented, driven, and curious person to join Volt’s Financial Operations team. You will be at the heart of how Volt protects client funds, ensuring reconciliations are fast, accurate, and constantly improving. If you're the kind of person who’s not satisfied with the status quo, thrives in a data-rich environment, and is hungry to automate away manual work using modern tooling, this is the role for you.
What the role involves
- Reconciling Volt’s safeguarding relevant funds position across multiple legal entities, in compliance with regulatory requirements and Volt’s safeguarding policy
- Identifying discrepancies, analysing root causes, and taking action to eliminate and prevent them
- Connecting with internal and external partners to resolve queries effectively and in a timely manner
- Improving processes, maintaining and increasing reconciliation adaptability, and introducing controls
- Supporting new product initiatives alongside cross-functional teams
- Supporting the implementation of automation initiatives
- Handling ad-hoc tasks (e.g. breach input) and managing regular critical metric dashboards
- Acting as an SME in reconciliations, safeguarding policy, systems, and tools for online payment transactions, and applying strong knowledge of safeguarding processes to balance priorities in project delivery
- Supporting various teams during internal and external audits
And:
- Automating as many of the above activities as possible
Requirements
About you:
- 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally with at least one standout role demonstrating end-to-end ownership of a problem or process.
- A technical mindset: you understand systems and want to improve them, not just operate them.
- Demonstrable interest in automation — whether through scripting, workflow tools, or data pipelines.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt and push boundaries; not satisfied with manual work or legacy processes.
- Comfortable designing or iterating on automation logic, and confident collaborating with engineers or analysts.
- Hands-on experience working with datasets (ideally financial or transactional) and creating clean, maintainable scripts or processes.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a bias for action.
- Strong SQL skills — able to interrogate transaction data, reconcile balances, and build automated reports.
