Molex is seeking a Thermal Product Manager to join our Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU). In this role, the successful candidate will lead efforts to deliver innovative thermal solutions, primarily supporting the ODM market with a specific focus on liquid cooling applications. As a key contributor to a high-priority growth area for Molex, the Thermal Product Manager will play a vital role in advancing liquid cooling technologies and driving business success.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to develop products that meet customer needs, align with market trends, and maintain Molex’s position as a leader in I/O thermal solutions.

Our Team

New Product Development Team - The team is dedicated to delivering advanced connectivity and thermal management solutions to solve customer challenges in high-performance computing, data centers, and other demanding applications. What You Will Do

1. Product Strategy & Development:

  • Define and execute product strategies and roadmaps for thermal solutions, with a focus on liquid cooling and support for ODM markets.
  • Engage in market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, driving strategic direction.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear product specifications and roadmaps. Own and execute on go-to-market and scaling strategy.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and execution.
  • Partner with mechanical and thermal design engineers to align on technical requirements and optimize product performance, manufacturability, and scalability.
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality thermal solutions that meet customer expectations at a competitive price point.

3. Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams, gathering feedback and ensuring solutions address customer pain points.
  • Support sales teams in customer discussions by providing technical expertise and aligning solutions with customer goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with ODMs and other key stakeholders to position Molex as a trusted partner.

4. Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept and development to launch and end-of-life management.
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, and cost targets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, identifying opportunities for improvement or new iterations.

5. Innovation & Industry Leadership:

  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory changes related to thermal management and I/O liquid cooling.
  • Advocate for and drive innovative solutions that address gaps in the market or create new opportunities for Molex.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, thermal engineering, program management or a related role in the thermal management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of liquid cooling technologies and thermal systems, including heat transfer principles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience launching and managing thermal solutions for ODM markets.
  • Familiarity with advanced simulation tools (e.g., CFD software) and manufacturing processes for thermal products.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation and delivering liquid cooling solutions in high-performance applications (e.g., data centers).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
