Senior HR Operations Manager (12 month Fixed Term Contract)
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Operations Manager to join our People Services team in Leeds on a fixed term basis. In this role you will lead both our Shared Services Centre and our Change Management team.
Our Shared Services team provide Operational support across the organisation while our change team is responsible for leading and implementing complex organizational change initiatives, including restructuring programs, TUPE transfers (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)), and company reorganisations.
This role requires strong partner management, an understanding of employment law, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive and confidential situations with empathy and professionalism. The successful candidate will ensure all initiatives are conducted in compliance with legal requirements and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations:
- Lead a shared services HR Operations team who are responsible for handling customer queries end-to-end, processing Workday transactions, and running mass data uploads where applicable.
- Work with HRBPs and TAs across the business to understand demand and local needs
- Build a strong working relationship across the teams in Hyderabad, Cluj and stand-alone locations
- Drive a high-performance customer focussed culture across the team
- Be the second point of escalation for issues and concerns
- Handle customer concerns and issues arising from team activity
- Make sure your team meets agreed-upon metrics and goals to meet business requirements.
- Review team’s performance on a regular basis, using real time data to identify key issues and predict future challenges and trends.
- Review team’s capacity and capability on a regular basis, using business needs, projection of activities and future projects.
- Work in an agile way to support other teams as needed during periods of peak activity.
- Support and drive People Services projects such as implementation of Case Management tooling
Restructuring Programs:
- Create and implement comprehensive restructuring plans, leading compliance with all relevant legislation and standard processes.
- Provide outplacement support and career transition services to impacted employees.
- Calculate and process restructuring payments accurately and efficiently.
- Minimize legal risk and reputational damage through proactive and compliant procedures.
TUPE Transfers:
- Lead and run all aspects of TUPE transfers, both incoming and outgoing.
- Conduct due diligence and gather relevant employee information.
- Prepare and lead employee communication throughout the transfer process.
- Ensure seamless transfer of employment contracts and employee benefits.
- Address employee queries and concerns related to TUPE transfers.
- Work closely with legal counsel to maintain compliance with TUPE regulations.
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits providers to ensure accurate data transfer.
Reorganisations:
- Collaborate with senior management to create and implement organizational restructuring plans.
- Conduct impact assessments and analyse potential risks and opportunities.
- Design and implement new organisational structures and job roles.
- Lead employee redeployment and internal mobility processes.
- Develop and deliver change management programs to support employees through organisational change.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the reorganisation process.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of restructuring initiatives.
General HR Responsibilities:
- Provide experienced advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of restructuring and change management.
- Create and maintain HR processes related to restructuring, TUPE, and reorganisation.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in employment law and standard processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Prepare and present reports on restructuring activities.
- Work collaboratively with other HR team members and departments.
- Lead project timelines and budgets.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues related to organisational change.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Significant experience in leading restructuring programs, TUPE transfers, and organisational change.
- Significant experience in handling international HR teams across a shared services centre of excellence
- Extensive experience working within global HR Operations teams with understanding of the day-to-day operational processes
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR standard processes.
- Validated experience in project management and change management.
- Proven team member management skills with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Great teammate with strong people management skills; able to support the day to day running of an HR Global Virtual Hub team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS), Workday preferred.
