OVERVIEW:

This position works with the A.D. STARR sales and merchandising teams to provide routine day-to-day operations and administrative support for the business. This will include order entry, writing purchase orders, logo design, uniform production, some customer communication and tracking inventory to meet the requested in-hand dates.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write purchase orders and modify them as needed
  • Follow up with vendors as needed to ensure product availability/delivery and proper shipment
  • Plan workload details (including embellishment planning) from date order is placed through completion, including timely delivery of product
  • Use & edit excel spreadsheets for customer data organization and ingestion into the current Point of Sale system.
  • Create/manipulate art for production of uniforms and accessories. (Adobe Illustrator knowledge preferred.)
  • Work alongside the Sales Team to design mockups for customer facing documents.
  • Decorate apparel using heat applied techniques (heat presses) and utilize cad cut equipment for in house production.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for some extended periods of time.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise with orders. Act as a liaison between vendors/internal decoration team, customers and A.D. STARR teammates.
  • Track order progress and maintain record of issues that arise to ensure we can improve processes going forward
  • Supports accurate pricing and style creation with merchant team, , and communicates changes to the sales team
  • Work with the eCommerce team to provide appropriate images, content, etc.
  • Support sample management - tasks to include procurement, sample room maintenance, and submissions to advertising.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in data and order entry, report generation, ability to maintain deadlines and a working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator preferred
