Job Title: Technical Hardware Writer

Job Description

As a Technical Hardware Writer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation that aligns with organizational standards. Your role will involve gaining a deep understanding of products and translating complex information into accurate and user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Examine hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection.
  • Interpret specifications, manuals, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics to create documentation.
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • One or more years of experience as an effective technical writer.
  • Fluent verbal and written English.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
  • Experience in working with engineers to improve understanding, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams.
  • Ability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e.g., Society for Technical Communication).

Work Environment

The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with a lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
