Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team of 6 engineers dedicated to system-level design for over-the-air (OTA) update features. Collaborate cross-functionally with component owners and test teams to define, integrate, and validate system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system-level feature design for OTA updates.
• Define and decompose high-level requirements into actionable system requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align component capabilities with system design.
• Support integration and troubleshooting phases, including root cause analysis and requirement refinement.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of feature development—from concept to integration.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in systems or software design.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to embedded systems or embedded software design.
• Engineering degree in Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or related field.
• Passion for system design and integration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with OTA systems.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and data analysis.
• Experience in cloud or communication technologies.
• Automotive or transportation industry experience.

Work Environment

The position requires working five days per week on site on site in Kanata, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.
