  • This role will be subject to continuous professional development from product related knowledge as well as employee development. Product development and more specific reciprocating compressor training requirements will be assessed during on-boarding and an appropriate personal development plan created and delivered thereafter. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Responsible for the engineering and technical authority of the reciprocating compressor product line.
  • Support the legacy Clark, Worthington and Ingersoll Rand reciprocating compressor product lines with respect to engineering support and product design
  • Check drawings/documents for accuracy and compliance with standard drafting/engineering practices and procedures.
  • Perform calculations and select materials for components to ensure mechanical integrity and performance requirements meet client expectations.
  • Responsible to update product designs to current engineering, manufacturing and assembly standards to optimize cost and lead time.
  • Reviews orders and quotations to verify compliance from a technical, safety and regulatory viewpoint and ensures all requirements are met.
  • Drive and participate in standardization program for cost reduction and product simplification to ensure engineering is of the highest quality, and at minimum cost.
  • Ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness and performance are met in for client contracts
  • Engage in research and development activities to improve the organization's products and services
  • Provide Technical support to FSR / Customer / Sales / Operations for components
  • Customer complaint and field issue resolution through problem solving technic and Warranty claim analysis and evaluation
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers and customer technical support department
  • Representing Siemens Energy in front of customers and conferences.

Travel to visit clients and suppliers as required

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of engineering experience in Reciprocating Compressor design. Experience in the execution of Mods & Ups projects and/or parts orders preferred
  • Sophisticated knowledge of reciprocating gas compressors
  • Must possess a high level of problem-solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational and prioritizing skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook), Globus, SAP and CAD programs and software including AutoCAD / NX
  • Knowledge of P&ID , GA , Compressor Datasheet and Package
  • Knowledge of Compressor package and utilities including LOC , CWC
  • Should have knowledge of operation philosophy , controls , and basics of instrumentation.
  • Willing to travel up to 15% of the time (Both Domestic and Internationally)
  • Knowledge of codes and standards of compressor and packaging accessories (such as API , ASME , TEMA )
