About the Role

NOV is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Plant Projects department, where you'll help design and implement critical machinery investments—ranging from new builds to upgrades and refurbishments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical designs and concepts with teams in Denmark and Brazil
  • Write detailed specifications for suppliers and follow up on delivery of critical parts
  • Review, challenge, and refine supplier designs
  • Support and execute installations of large-scale equipment
  • Analyze system performance and conduct data-driven evaluations
  • Ensure full documentation in line with legal and safety requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with solid mechanics expertise
  • 5+ years in mechanical engineering within high-tech manufacturing or R&D
  • Experience with root cause analysis (Six Sigma certification a plus)
  • Strong understanding of machinery operation and process optimization
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Project team experience with proven on-time delivery record
  • Implementation experience in manufacturing environments

Preferred:

  • Danish and/or Portuguese language skills
  • Experience in project management or offshore oil & gas equipment
  • Familiarity with matrix organizations
