Advanced Field Service Engineer for Intelligrated Services, LLC (Mason, OH)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for installing and servicing automation cells containing various combinations of HMI, SCADA, & 6-axis robots, conveyors, Sorters, Palletizers, Vision systems, scanners, print apply systems, machine guarding & safety systems, as well as other custom automation equipment Installation & commissioning, calibration, preventative maintenance, and break fix repairs industrial automation hardware and software.
  • Responsible for maintaining fault finding data, and feedback on product performance data to customers using Intelligrated systems like ICW, Boss as HMI and conveyor control systems.
  • Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley Programable Logic Controls (PLC) using studio 5000.
  • Create necessary screens on Factory talk view HMI as per the client needs and establish communication with PLC.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software packages.
  • Communicate with the Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to obtain answers to problems encountered in the field and provide customer training and support.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair problems with control systems, automation systems & equipment.
  • Generate written field service reports on a regular basis.
  • Communicate with engineering, manufacturing teams, and costumer on projects schedule and design changes as built.
  • Understand Honeywell’s technical product line and provide customers with guidance on application, life cycle management, best practices, benefits, savings/cost, and other factors influencing business direction.
  • Analyze what is performed at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering experience.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in the above listed fields and 1 year of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Full term of experience must include the following: demonstrated knowledge of the most popular industrial controls software and robotics, including Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Yaskawa; experience with industrial communications networks including, Ethernet IP, Profibus, ControlNet; experience with industrial safety controllers, specifically ControlLogix platform; experience leading an onsite team performing commissioning activities for industrial systems in the material handling or Manufacturing Industry.
  • Up to 75% domestic travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted when not at a client site.
