As a Data Engineer, you are an active creator in the ideation and deployment of consumer-facing experiences and clinician tools to enable end-to-end care. What You’ll Do:
- Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain date lake/data warehouse
- Design, develop, maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
- Work on key systems, data integrations, payment gateway, fraud & tax services, subscription services, health systems and integration with business-critical systems like CRM, Order Management System and other
- Participate in defining and implementing internal business requirements across clinical, operations, and technology needs
- Participate in defining and implementing external client/partner requirements
- Work closely with product managers, QA/testers, development operations, backend engineers, and application architects
- Document and communicate clear architecture and implementation solutions
- Define technical product specifications to ensure the development of scalable, high-quality products
- Provide technical guidance on data best practices to our development team
- Drive and maintain a strong focus on ease of system integration, interoperability, and sustainability of the solution
- Be an active contributor of technical best practices, code and development standards and ensure their adherence within team
- Keep up to date with latest technical trends, propose and conduct R&D projects
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to allow for continuous improvements in areas of site resiliency, availability, scalability, and security
- Supervisory Responsibilities

Who You Are:
- Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the healthcare industry doing data science, data analysis, data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience developing in SQL, dbt
- Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages such as R, Python, SQL & NOSQL
- Experience deploying open source tools and products such as Airflow, dbt, Lightdash, Superset, restack.io
- Proven track record using different tools, such as Looker, Jupyter Notebook, dbt, PySpark
- Experience working within an Agile team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with large, live datasets and tackling them using Spark, Hadoop, Yarn, Hive, Impala, etc.
- Some experience in developing streaming data pipelines
- Familiarity with PANDAS, Scala, Segment, FiveTran, and/or Sagemaker, Databricks, and/or Spark Applications
- Have a passion for learning
- Enjoy building elegant user interfaces
- Ability to be self-directed and be effective working independently yet feel equally comfortable contributing in a team environment
- Work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value results
- Believe that writing code is just a means to solve business problems (but cool code is an inherent win!)
- Enjoy being part of a highly collaborative, remote-friendly environment
