Position Description (Brief summary)

The Analyst is responsible for assisting with the preparation of the financial statements, evaluation of purchase accounting, completion of certain month-end close procedures, fulfill audit requests and special projects as assigned. The analyst will be required to work closely with members of the Corporate Accounting, Treasury, M&A and local business unit teams to obtain information for financial reporting, ensuring adherence to global accounting policies and assisting with merger integration.

The Analyst will also work with lease accounting for more than 100 business units around the world. In this role, the financial reporting team will provide hands-on training of the lease accounting guidance, the Company’s internal lease processes and how to use lease accounting software. As they grow in their technical accounting, project management and oversight abilities, they will be provided with more responsibility in leading this key global workstream.

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures and MD&A
  • Complete variance analysis of consolidated results, as well as other analytical procedures to aide in the writing of MD&A and other investor presentation information
  • Assist in fulfilling requests from our external auditors
  • Facilitate communications with our global businesses to gather and process key data inputs necessary for lease accounting
  • Prepare and communicate lease accounting adjustments to our global businesses
  • Perform lease accounting analyses to help optimize the financial performance of our global businesses
  • Contribute in the implementation and adherence of accounting policies
  • Support efforts with the initial and ongoing purchase accounting and integration of acquisitions
  • Seek to continually improve financial processes and systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting background preferred
  • Up to 2 years of experience

Compensation Package:

  • $70,000 - $85,000 base salary plus bonus
  • This is a salaried, exempt position

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.

Experience

Required

2 years:

Relevant experience required

Preferred

Public accounting background preferred

CPA preferred
