The Office of State Uniform Payroll is the centralized, statewide payroll accounting team for Executive Branch agencies on LaGov HCM. We support over 100 state agency HR offices and 37,000+ employees through three core program units responsible for:

The Division of Administration is the state government’s management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
Three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, banking, or human resources; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, statistics public administration, or human resources; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, statistics, public administration, or human resources; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

This vacancy will be filled by new hire or by promotion of a current permanent status classified employee.

This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) as follows:
If filled as a State Uniform Payroll Analyst 1, the SER is $1,768.80 biweekly
If filled as a State Uniform Payroll Analyst 2, the SER is $1,954.40 biweekly
This position also has retention pay of $1.00 per hour for each hour worked.
This vacancy participates in a career progression group and may be filled from this recruitment as a State Uniform Payroll Analyst 1 (AS-614) or State Uniform Payroll Analyst 2 (AS-616) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. The maximum salary for the State Uniform Payroll Analyst 2 is $90,210.
