You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
- Ensure product safety throughout the entire lifecycle of glass products
- Conduct risk assessments (FMEA, risk matrix) and evaluate safety-relevant product characteristics
- Monitor compliance with legal, normative, and customer-specific safety requirements (e.g., ProdSG, EN 12150)
- Handle safety-related complaints and perform root cause analyses (e.g., 8D, 5-Why)
- Provide technical support in the event of product recalls, including documentation and internal/external communication
- Support the continuous improvement of robust and safe products and processes in close collaboration with quality, development, and production teams
Here's what you can bring to the team:
- Degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, materials science, safety engineering) or equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of product safety, product liability laws, and relevant standards (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3)
- Experience in glass processing or a safety-critical production environment is an advantage
- Proficient in risk analysis methods, 8D reports, technical drawings, and applicable standards
- Strong analytical skills and experience with quality KPIs and data-based problem solving
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; strong communication and teamwork skills
