The Lead IT QA Analyst is a position requiring working with our international clients, business partners, architects, developers, end users, management and other IT groups to lead test cases automation for all testing activities for the features delivered.

In summary, the Lead IT QA analyst is an experienced QA Automation Lead Engineer to spearhead our quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in QA automation, with expertise in modern automation tools, BDD frameworks, Java, .NET, Agile methodologies, REST API testing, and AI-driven testing tools. The candidate will be responsible for automating regression/sanity backlogs, integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines, running daily automated tests, and continuously updating/adding new scripts to maintain a robust test suite. Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in automation is critical to success in this role.

This position will be in Hyderabad at our India location.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Lead and mentor the QA automation resources, providing strategic direction and technical oversight.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, .NET, and BDD tools like Cucumber/Spec Flow.
  • Automate regression test backlog, implement in CI/CD pipelines, and ensure daily execution and reporting.
  • Integrate automated tests into build pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Drive REST API test automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern QA tools, including AI-driven testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize).
  • Stay up to date with emerging test tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure high test coverage and fast feedback cycles.
  • Regularly update and enhance existing test scripts while adding new ones to cover evolving product features.
  • Review automation code and test coverage, ensuring quality and maintainability.
  • Identify automation opportunities across UI, API, and backend services.
  • Stay updated with the latest automation tools, frameworks, and industry trends, and implement them to improve testing efficiency.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports and metrics to stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on automation leadership.
  • Expertise in automation using Java and/or .NET.
  • Solid understanding of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
  • Strong experience with REST API testing and automation.
  • Familiarity with AI-based testing tools and a strong inclination to explore emerging automation technologies.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to mentor and guide other QA resources.
  • Hands-on with version control tools like Git, and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr.

What are the preferred requirements for this position?

  • Experience with cloud-based test execution (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Understanding of Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing strategies.
  • Experience with data-driven and keyword-driven frameworks
