Yieldstar uses container formats as input data. However, in order to understand what are the contents of a particular container, you need to open it in Yieldstar and navigate through complex menus. This is quite cumbersome, time-consuming and not always possible. Given the fact that these container formats are often used as input for tests (both automated and manual) and stored as reference data en masse in the repository, there is a need for a simple tool that could parse the container, extract its contents and describe the features present. The goals of this tool are the following: gap analysis of the existing test coverage, test data maintenance, test suite optimization through reduction of the number of reference files used. There is already a prototype for this tool. As an intern working on this project, you will extend, productize and test the tool.
This is a Bachelor or Master graduation/apprentice internship for 5 to 12 months, working 4-5 days per week. The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.
