The LCRA Transmission Protection and Metering Team is looking for a motivated, hardworking, and curious engineering associate to design metering projects, develop and improve protection and control standards, and solve problems. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and explore new technologies in power system protection and metering.

You will be trusted to:

  • Design metering drawings for construction
  • Develop new Protection and Metering Standards and revise existing standards
  • Coordinate with ERCOT for EPS Metering and Meter Registration
  • Analyze meter data and investigate billing issues
  • Research best practices for Protection and Control design for implementation in LCRA TSC standard design

You qualify with:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus one or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
  • Driver's license

You are a great fit with:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Background in Power Systems
  • Experience with Protection, Metering, and Control Design
  • Experience with SEL meters and relays
  • Experience with AutoCAD
