Position Description:
Builds Web systems, using Java and J2EE in an Agile environment. Performs data engineering, using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Supports software application design, development, and support services, and configures Web containers, using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Informatica workflows, Apache Camel Framework, Kafka, SWIFT and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Builds automation pipelines by leveraging DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Crafts new solutions within cloud-based architectures such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java 8 based RESTful Web services for Financial Services, Mutual Fund, or Cash Management environments.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java 8 based RESTful Web services for Financial Services, Mutual Fund, or Cash Management environments.
